Quotes to get you smiling!

‘If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours’ – Dolly Parton

I love a positive quote! You might have noticed that from my other posts which all start with one! I find that whatever mood I am in, I can always find a quote to match it. Sometimes they make me think, often they cheer me up, occasionally they help me deal with something, frequently they motivate me and they nearly always make me smile!

A few weeks ago I wrote a post called ‘7 reasons why your smile is the best curve on your body!’ which was based on a Bob Marley quote. If you missed the post and want to know more about the health benefits that smiling brings, you can read it here: https://wordpress.com/post/happyhealthymeajourney.com/243

Today I’d love to share with you some of my favourite quotes about smiling – hope you enjoy them!

I hope you’ve enjoyed these quotes. They’ve certainly put a smile on my face! For our tiny tweak this week, how about taking the advice of Yoko Ono:

‘Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning and you’ll start to see a big difference in your life’.

Smiling at yourself in the mirror helps you feel more confident and ready to face the world. The action of smiling releases endorphins which help lift your mood, lower stress and even boost your immune system. Your brain doesn’t know whether the smile is real or not so even a fake smile can reduce stress and lower your heart rate and blood pressure!

So let’s look in that mirror, stand tall and smile at ourselves. We could maybe say a positive affirmation as well such as ‘Today is going to be a good day’. Let me know how you get on!

Until next time xx
