‘Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colours appear’ – unknown
Writing a recent post about rainbows (rainbows, health and happiness) I was looking for a quote to start it with. I always start with a quote. Sometimes I look for it after I have written the post and sometimes it is the quote itself that inspires me and I start with that. On this occasion, I wrote the post first but when I came to look for a quote, there were so many I loved that I realised another post containing quotes about rainbows was needed! I hope you enjoy it!
‘The way I see it, if you want the rainbow you gotta put up with the rain’ – Dolly Parton
‘Rainbows remind us that even after the darkest clouds and fiercest winds there is still beauty’ – Katrina Mayer
‘If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to endure the storm’ – Mahatma Gandhi
‘Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud’ – Maya Angelou
‘You’ll never find a rainbow if you’re looking down’ – Charlie Chaplin
‘Count your rainbows not your thunderstorms’ – Alyssa Knight, age 12
‘Don’t miss all the beautiful colours of the rainbow looking for that pot of gold’ – unknown
‘Today’s teardrops are tomorrow’s rainbows’ – Ricky Nelson
‘Just when you think you will never see the light again, a rainbow so beautiful and precious comes along to remind you just how bright your world can be’ – unknown
‘No matter how long the rain lasts, there will be a rainbow in the end. No matter how sad you may be, believe that happiness is waiting’ – unknown
‘The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears’ – John Vance Cheney
‘An optimist sees rainbows when there is rain’ – Debasish Mridha
‘Life is about dancing in the rain while the sun sings its music and the rainbows deliver hope’ – Mimi Novic
‘Life can be a storm, but your hope is a rainbow and your friends and family are the gold’ – Steve Maraboli
‘Friends are like rainbows, always there to cheer you up after a storm’ – unknown
‘When it rains look for rainbows, when it’s dark look for stars’ – Oscar Wilde
‘I’ve always taken the Wizard of Oz very seriously. I believe in the idea of the rainbow and I’ve spent my entire life trying to get over it’ – Judy Garland
And to finish,
‘Sometimes it’s important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it’s essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which colour to slide down on the rainbow!’ – Douglas Pagels
I hope you enjoyed this post and all the lovely rainbow quotes. Which was your favourite? Are you a rainbow in someone else’s cloud? What do rainbows mean to you? Do you find hope and inspiration in them? Rainbows are nature’s way of reminding us that beauty can come from darkness and are an inspiration to look for the brighter side of life in any situation. However bad things get, there is always hope. I hope you found your rainbow today.
Until next time xx
